Of all the procedures required for admission to a Spanish university, the equivalency process is the only one that is required by all. It involves making an equivalence of qualifications between different educational systems, specifically between the country where the student has completed their high school or secondary education and the Spanish system. In this way, the student obtains the equivalent of a Spanish pre-university degree, allowing them to apply for admission to university faculties.

The cost of the high school diploma equivalency service is €330. This includes all document processing until the completion of the process. It does not include the cost of shipping the applicant’s documents by postal mail.
In general, the recognition of a high school diploma or secondary education should be completed before October of the year in which the student plans to enter university. However, many universities require this process to be completed by the end of June, which creates significant challenges for many students trying to gain admission to their desired university.

Instead of this procedure, a UNEDasiss Credential application must be made, which is a way of equating the grades of the original educational system to the Spanish system through UNED.
